Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd., a Mini Ratna Category – I PSE with diversified business portfolios, announced the first quarter results as per the accounts adopted for the quarter ending 30 June 2024. The results were approved by the Board in its Meeting held on 29 July 2024.
The net total income for the first quarter increased by 7.47% and stood at Rs. 643.62 crores compared to Rs. 598.91 crores for the same period last year. The Profit Before Tax (PBT) saw a jump of 0.68% and rose to Rs. 57.84 crores for the quarter ended 30 June 2024 as compared to Rs. 57.45 crores for the same quarter last year. Correspondingly, the net profit (PAT) during the quarter rose by 3.15% to Rs. 46.79 crores compared to Rs. 45.36 crores for the corresponding period last year.
Mr. Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri has formally taken over as Chairman & Managing Director (C&MD) of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. with effect from 20th July 2024. He was holding the position of C&MD (Additional Charge) from 1st July 2024. Besides his role as C&MD, he will continue to oversee the Service Businesses.
